Canning

My fingers hurt. Snapping beans and canning is hard work. Especially a whole sink full of beans. It took me a total of 6 hours to clean, snap and can these green beans. But now that it's over with, I think it was worth it. We got a few from our garden, but not enough to can, so I just froze those. These were given to me and after seeing how many there were, I figured I'd better can this batch.

I did have a little help for part of the time. She's good at snapping beans.

I used Quart sized jars this time, instead of the Pint.

On to tomatoes. These are from our garden. Normally I just puree them and make sauce, but I thought I'd can a jar and see what happened.

My supplies.

Canned Tomatoes.

Now that those are finished, I need to move on to zucchini, basil and cilantro.
