The Splinter Part 2

Over the last few days, Zion's foot has been slowly improving. He was still having trouble walking on it, but was keeping it medicated and soaking it a few times a day. Every time we would change the band aid, we noticed a lot of puss coming out. Thinking this was a good thing, we didn't really worry to much about it.

Tonight, when he was supposed to be taking a shower, he decided to bring us what he had managed to pull out of his foot instead. Needless to say, both Trevor and I were quite shocked. This is what was left of the splinter, that the doctor was not able to remove, without extra cutting on his foot.

So he now has a nice sized hole in the bottom of his foot, but we are all very happy and very thankful that the small log, posing as a splinter, is finally out of his foot.
